where known land ends
the bitter thing is sweet
to a long traveling soul
after dusty old roads
where hell has it's effect
of endless, nameless, bottomless death
but treasure most high
is buried so deep
in the sulphur and salt
and mercury
take this golden magnet
where the compass spins
gaze into and beyond the silver mirror
close your eyes and wake
from the sorrows of the night
noxious fumes rise
as one thing comes from none
so may mercy shine
where the rose grows
from the cross in your mind
